Equestrian centre
De Maasheggen Horse Farm in Oeffelt is a small-scale boarding stable and horse breeding centre. We offer stabling with private paddocks, including daily access to pasture. This is available for your holiday, a holiday for your horse, or on a permanent basis. We also breed dressage horses and provide facilities for rearing young horses.
At our stables, boarding means that your horse spends as much time as possible outdoors with other horses, weather permitting.
All our facilities are designed to encourage social interaction between the horses.
Since 2019, we have undertaken various projects each year, enabling us to offer the following facilities:
- Just over 1 hectare of pastureland, organised into rotations to allow the horses to graze together or separately
- Autumn 2023: newly constructed, well-drained and floodlit outdoor riding arena, 20 x 40
- Autumn 2023: newly constructed, well-drained and floodlit lunging paddock, 12 x 12
- Four spacious outdoor stables, 3.5 x 3.5, each with its own paddock
- Walk-in stable with a spacious paddock, fitted with paddock panels and access to pasture for optimal horse welfare
- Horse washing and grooming area
- Storageroom
- Trailer storage
The horses spend as much time as possible outdoors so they can live a natural life, with unlimited access to roughage. They are given concentrated feed twice a day.
We muck out the stables and paddocks daily to ensure healthy and hygienic stable management.
We offer half-board and full-board accommodation. With half-board, you’ll help out by carrying out feeding and mucking-out duties two evenings a week.
The opening hours are, except in the event of an emergency or to provide care for a sick horse:

9.00 – 21.00 Monday to Friday
9.00 – 19.00 Saturday
9.30 – 19.00 Sunday
Summer opening hours
9.00 – 21.30 Monday to Friday
9.00 – 21.00 Saturday
9.30 – 20.00 Sunday
By mutual agreement, an exception may be made to the opening hours.
